Film reel and projector in a movie theater poster

Film reel and projector beam in a movie theater poster

Standing upright, a large film reel fills the foreground, its film unspooling in loops upward. The projector beam crosses the theater and heads toward the screen, in front of rows of red velvet seats where 2 spectators sit. The title “NOW SHOWING” announces that the screening is about to begin. This movie poster plays on a hushed, warm atmosphere, with flat areas of color and precise drawing that give the scene character without overloading it.

A poster for film buffs, from home theater to office

Its vertical format hangs nicely near a screen, in a home theater, or above a desk where you rewatch your favorite films. The red of the seats echoes velvet, dark wood and charcoal walls. It also finds its place in a bedroom or a hallway leading to the living room. For a cohesive wall, add other movie or performance hall posters. A fitting gift for a film buff, a film student or a projectionist, for a birthday or a graduation.
